Very close to Anne Boleyn, his sister, and her husband, Henry VIII. Served on the Privy Council, as special ambassador to France, and in a number of other high-profile political posts. Showered with titles, lands, money, and power by a king who later turned on him viciously.554

Executed by Henry VIII on spurious charges of adultery with George’s sister, Queen Anne Boleyn.1

Deeply involved with the entire Boleyn family’s efforts to get Anne married to the king and keep her there. Jane took part in the legendary Cloth of Field of Gold, was a prominent and rich lady-in-waiting, and close confidant of Anne.554

Jane was a key witness in the show trials surrounding George and Anne Boleyn, testifying that George was Anne’s lover.553
