Notes for King Henry PLANTAGENET VI
Better suited for a monastery than the throne, Henry VI was no equal to his illustrious father. His weak rule and unstable mind gave heart to the Yorkists, who seized the throne from him, were overturned by Queen Margaret and Warwick “The Kingmaker,” and then regained it. In the last overturning the Yorkists killed both Henry VI and his son, the Prince of Wales. They were in turn overthrown by Henry Tudor (Henry VII) in 1485 when Richard III was cut down at the Battle of Bosworth.1

It was during Henry VI’s reign that Joan of Arc rallied the French against the English.1
Notes for Queen Margaret OF ANJOU
A fascinating character, she came to Henry with virutally nothing to recommend her -- no dowry and no political connections that were of any particular use. She ended up far stronger than her husband, and fought tenaciously for her family’s right to the throne.1
