Whiting News, 03/25/1927: "Mrs. P. Liesse of Central Avenue entertained about twenty-five little girls at her home Sunday afternoon, the occasion being in honor of her daughter Lucille's eighth birthday. Games were enjoyed by all at which prizes were awarded. A dainty luncheon was served, each one receiving a favor. Miss Lucille was the recipient of many beautiful gifts. The guests departed wishing her many more such happy events."
