Warren A. Howard, age 70, of Hammond, passed away Thursday, May 11, 1978, St. Catherine Hospital, East Chicago. Survivors, wife, Clara; two sons, Donald (Ruth) Howard of Hoffman Estates, IL; Ronad Howard of Washington D.C.; two grandsons, Jeff and Brent Howard of Hoffman Estates, IL; one sister, Mrs. Virginia Seelig of Lansing; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Elsie Mills of Hammond, Mrs. Bertha Hedges of Lafayette, Calif.; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, Saturday, May 13, 10 a.m., from the Riverside Park Reformed Church, 175th and Jefferson, Hammond, Dr. Franklin Spoelstra and Rev. Abraham DeVries officiating. Burial, Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens., Schererville. Friends may call at the Clarence J. Huber Funeral Home, 722 165th St., Hammond, Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
Mr. Howard was retired from Lever Brothers, where he worked for 39 years; was a CHarter Member of the Riverside Park Reformed Church; a resident of Hammond for forty years; the Treasureer of the A.A.R.P., Chap[ter 2411; treasurer of the Quarter Century Club of Lever Brothers; Church Treasurer; Charter Member of the Greater Consistory of the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the memorial fund of the church or the World Home Bible League of SOuth Hammond.

Clara R. Howard (Radloff), age 84 of Hammond, passed away Thursday, April 2, 1992. She is survived by two sons, Donald (Ruth) of Hoffman Estates, Illinois and Ronald of Washington, D.C.; two grandchildren, Jeffrey (Lynn) Howard of Hoffman Estates, Illinois and Brent (Debra) Howard of Palatine, Illinois; three great grandchildren, Jennifer and Jill Howard and Robert Hall; two sisters, Elsie (Arnold) Mills of Hammond and Bertha (Floyd) Hedges of Oakley, California; several nieces and nephews. Preceeded in death by her husband, Warren A.
Funeral services Saturday, April 4, 10:30 am. at the Riverside Community Church with Rev. Richard Stadt officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation Friday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Solan Funeral Home, 7109 Calumet Ave., Hammond. Memorials may be given to the Riverside Community Church in her memory. Mrs. Howard will lie in state at the church Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m.
Mrs. Howard was a lifetime resident of the Calumet area; retired from Van Til’s Supermarket where she worked for 18 years; she is a charter member of the Riverside Community Church, the Women’s Guild, the Martha Ruth Circle and a long time member of the Vade Mecum Club.
