Notes for Peregrine WHITE
Born on the Mayflower as it lay at anchor at Provincetown Harbor, while the Pilgrims looked for a good landing site: "Whilst some were employed in this discovery [of a good harbor], it pleased God that Mistress White was brought abed of a son, which was called Peregrine" (Mourt’s Relations)
In 1655 he was granted land as the “first of the English that was born in these ptes.”
