Occupation difficult to read, could be “Foreman - C-M & [??] Dept.” Single, Caucasian, no dependents, no prior military service. Describes himself as tall, slender, with brown eyes and red hair.14

Obituary
Leo.E. McLaughlin, 69, of 35 Ogden St., Hammond, died Saturday. He was a Calumet area resident for 45 years and a retired mail clerk.
He is survived by his wido, Helen, two sons, Robert and Ralph, both of Hammond; three daughters, Sister Delores [sic] Marie, Order of St. Francis at Maumee, Ohio; Mrs. Mary Eileen Conces, Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Helen Mills, Indianapolis; a brother, Art of Lima, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Collison, Cedar Lake, and Mrs. Margaret Fenney [Feeney] and Mrs. Jane Mudge, both of Erie, Pa.; a nephew, Rev. Edward J. Fenney [Feeney], Erie, and six grandchildren.
Mr. McLaughlin, a World War I veteran, was a past commander of Edward Schultz Post 697, American Legion, Lansing and a member of Unity Council, Knights of Columbus, the Holy Name Society of St. Joseph church and the Notre Dame Retreat club.
Services will be held Wednesday at 9 am in the Burns Funeral Home, 5840 Hohman Ave., and at 9:30 am in St. Joseph church with Msgr. Francis Jansen singing the Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The retreat league will recite the rosary at 8 pm in the funeral chapel.22
